Ok heres the deal, timing belt stripped the cogs off inside the belt, car jumped time, took to garage had belt replaced retimed, 180 miles later its starts missing real bad, took to Mits dealer, was told that #3 clynder, no compression, probally bent valves, wants way to much $$ to do the work, I NEED SOME HELP ON HOW HARD TO REPLACE THESE YOURSELF, any info would be really appreicated. 2.0 Turbo '92 GSX AWD

find a good mech you trust and let them do it if youve never rebuilt a head before, it will have to be machined and put back to spec before they can replace the valves.......

See if you can find a low mileage car at a junkyard and grab the head off of that. May as well still have it machined but you'd just be cleaning it up instead of fixing things that might be wrong.

ouch sounds painful. i feel for you. yea I dont think it would be a good idea to try to do anything yourself if you've never done it before you can quickly get in over your head. But If you have prety good knowledge about how everything works and have a shop manual then maybe you could at least take the head off yourself, its not that difficult and could save you $300-500 labor. Thats assuming you pistins are fine and its just the valves that are bent, but if its the case then just take your head somewhere
