Well,

Been pretty busy around here,  and yeah there were a few problems (apprentice on the job I think)

So I put the car into the Moorrabbin branch of Tint Professor.  They did the job and I waited 4 days or so (was out of town) before using the window. Screech scrape scrunch.  Didn't sound good and there was guck all over the inside of the window.. some sort of glue or something.  Took it back..  They didn't hesitate to redo it and the felt (I got the impression that the second guy I spoke to thought the first guy completely botched it)

Second go around everything worked fine, though I left it something like five days..  Don't think that had anything to do with it though,  just a better application of felt etc second time around.

However, there seems to be a lot of sideways movement in the VRX window itself.  Due to how tight a fit this is widthwise with the felt etc sometimes after winding up the window there is a thin strip of non tinted window showing on the read side of the window.  They suggested that the window sideways movement could/should be tightened up by the dealer as if you put the tint too close to the side edge it can catch and peel off.  They were happy to redo the tint and do it closer however, they just suggested we see what could be done about the window movement first.

I'm going to wait until next service and will chat to the dealer about that.  *shrugs*

Anyhow.  REALLY happy with the tint,  esp the darkness around the back.  I'm sure the photo's don't do it justice,  was too early and too late to get decent light.

ey guys, im from the philippines, just want you to know that we have the same problem with the tints.

virtually all cars here are installed with tints cause of our tropical climate.

the dealer still installs tint as part of the package, but they don't seem to know how to fix the problem once the scratches start appearing.

last time i heard, they are waiting for a reply from japan! that was like a month ago...

Thrax,
Is that bull bar a straight bolt on or does it require some modification to the front end?  It looks awesome.  Like antlip said can't wait to see it available in the USA.

EAST COAST BARS in Brisbane does a full bar for the 03-08 Outties, and as this piccy shows, it looks great when a few 130W spots are added.  I DID have to manufacture a mounting bar to fit 4 on though!  Sum more pix at www.tinmansplace.multiply.com
