Over rev

Blue Sky -> Over rev (7/13/2007 4:06:16 AM)

Well, I hope the car is ok - I'm sure it is as the car seems fine.  But, thank goodness for a rev limiter.

While at a light, I nailed the accelerator in first gear of my sportronic auto trans, not realizing I was in manual mode.  So the car goes like a shot, then it tops out - duh - the rev limiter kicked in and it sat there for about 1-2 seconds before I realized what happened, then I put the car back in drive.

Car seems fine - but being a worry wort - let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Blue

im sure your car is fine. if there was something wrong you would know it, lol. just be carefull not to hit rev limit to much.

your car is perfectly fine. It needs to be pushed sufficient times enough for you to even worry about it. no sweat ,just be more careful.

much luck

I hit mine all the time, mitsu put the rev limiter a little low so you wont kill your engine

how do you take rev governors completely off

That is a bad idea unless you have a built engine. they are there for a reason.
