I have just recently bought an Auto 1991 Galant.

I have just a few questions

1. The idle is usually under 1000rpm, and when i switch on the aircon it can even stall. is there a way to change the idle?

2. There seems to a problem with my acceleration in the first couple of seconds. i was wondering if its due to teh fact that its an auto that a 1990 1.15ltr engine can beat my car.

3. a pinging sound is coming from the engine.  Mitsubishi motors said by using premium it should go away, but im not to sure.

if anyone can help me with these matters it would be great.
