By ignition do you mean the coil pack? if you have the amp, maybe you fried it? check the pack, no prob with the plugs

you could try cleaning the terminal, the amp, is kinda like a sound amp, but made to push in more volt through the coil (if my memory serves right) and, yeah... somehow it does... in the 420a, which engine you have again?

One other thing to check is fuel to the cylinder.
You might have an inkector not spraying.

well today i took it to my work (i manage a auto shop)not ignition related,,,coil is good, splug & wires good. swaped out my msd for new/stock parts and got the same prob with the motor 420a...... this is what i thing,,,,,, it has a turbo 8lbs of boot, nitrus, reprogramed ecm & diff fuel inj & 2 stage fuel pump,,,under low to med accel. the car runs good,,,,under hard accel the car starts to sputter like it is starving for fuel???? i think the inj. on the #3 cylinder might be getting cloged up when the 2nd stage fuel pump engages?????? the car has a good idle and seems to run great at low rpm's
