Hey, lemme know what you think of this idea... i was thinkin of strippin the paint off of the valve cover, scuff it to get that brushed aluminum look, then hand paint the lettering and numbers with black caliper paint... what do ya think??

I think where you 'scuff' it... it will oxidize and look like hell in not too long...

you think? would it do the same thing if i just stripped it with a wire wheel? or could i scuff it and get a clear powder coating? i have access to powder coat for a really good price

IT shouldnt look too bad... Theres an oem version that looked like that... but in red lettering

i was originially thinkin of red... but black would match my car... now my valve will get to hot to use my porsche black pearl paint thats on my car, right? even if i clear coat it
