My wife has an '01 Spyder GT with over 82k on it.  It's finally time to replace the struts and my wife doesn't want to lower it.  Does anyone have any recommendations for a good replacement for the stock struts?  The tire guy says that it has struts in the front and rear.  He wants $120 per corner for the Monroe struts plus labor.  Anybody have any other suggestions?

It's Big-O Tires, and they want $800 including labor.  For that much money, I thought my wife's car deserves better than Monroe.

Well, I found two different grades of KYB struts at Kragen Auto Parts that I can order, standard struts for $510 for all four or heavy duty performance struts for $825 for all four.  I'll probably order the standard ones.

I called Sears and they said they would install all four of them for about $170 total.  Sounds too good to be true, huh?

Lol, good luck with the suspension and I hope they don't charge you too much. If you do decide to lower it though I do have 2 inch lowering springs in my possession that haven't even been taken out of the box yet.

Doesn't the 3G use KYB for stock shocks too?
