"The one glitch was the ill-fitting hatch over the central storage compartment. With the navigation system present, the housing for the module would replace this hatch." What does he mean by this? That the ones with the nav dont get the center storage on the dash?

I have the top of dash center storage with Navi. I can relate somewhat, the hatch itself is a PITA to shut, it doesn't positively lock each time, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries. Trivial for the most part for those who use it infrequently.

Same here. Once you get used to it though, its easy. I just wish it didn't get so hot in there. My sunglasses are always baked when I put them on.

Maybe it will work the same way when its 10 degrees out and you want warm glasses. I think we can all relate that freezing cold glasses are also a pain to put on.

I think the overhead sunglass compartment isn't too hard to install. Anybody got a part # for that?

My top storage compartment isn't a good fit either..but the one I test drove fit perfectly.. Mine is an earlier build (November 2006)..wonder if that has anything to do with it..as I seem to have alot of the very minor annoying things that have since been fixed...wind noise from mirror, clunking

These articles HAVE to find something wrong...nature of a 'review' I suppose..but if this is what they're picking on..I think we're doing ok!

Heres my take why they think the hatch goes away with the Nav.

If you read the review they never had the nav in the Outlander.

However they test drove a car with the Nav, when we were in the showroom I think I noticed one of the Mitsu cars having nav in the cubby area because I remember thinking I wasnt sure if that was a good idea because Im short but I lean the seat back, so in cars anything on the dash would keep me from seeing the right front quarter panel well.

As far as not finding things wrong, I have noticed that love is sometimes blind when it comes to reviews.

Living in San Diego... glasses don't really get cold. I'm sure you Northerners could live here in shorts and t-shirts while we are all bundled up in 60 degree weather in the winter. :)
