Be very careful when downloading and installing the workshop manual. I tried this yesterday, and found a malicious script in the installed program...

Hi guys,

I didn't find any virus on the CD after downloading and burning, but I got a pop-up from my Norton antivirus during installation, warning about a malicious script. I tried this again tonight - this time ignoring the warning. I ran a new virus check on my entire computer afterwards with no warnings. This might be due to a misinterpretation by Norton? I don't know, but it seems that the whole installation is clean . Sorry about the fuzz!

I am waiting for my Outlander, and have two days before i can pick it up. I have now spent the entire evening looking into the technical description of the car... This is great!

What files should I trigger to install the manual? There seem to be a MUT3 and SMV involved :-(
I also noticed it won't run with IE7 installed. Tried to fix that with a trick called: IE6eolas_nt.zip. Works not 100%.
What's the yellow flash in the taskbar for: in my case it sometimes starts the SMV (without double-klicking) and sometimes not.
Advise will be appreciated.

This issue are related to the security change in the IExplorer version7.
It seems that IE7 have a totally different script system than the old  IE6.
I solved this with downloading and installing the MS Virtual Mashine,
generating a virtual WinXP installation without the IE7 upgrade.
Then I installed the Workshop manual.
Now I have a fully functional workshop manual I can move around
to several different computers without any fuzz.
