First off let me appologize if this has been posted...

I have a 97 Galant.  What could I do to help my transmission?  I found out that Galant trannys are run electrically.  A few months ago my transmission was slipping into neutral - so i fixed that problem.  Now it seems to be slamming into first gear before picking up.  Is this really an electrical issue?  Please, someone, get back to me.  Thanks.

Try going to the parts store and picking up some Trans- X. This will only prolong the life of it. Sounds like its on it way out anyway.
