For one thing there are two reprog TSB's for the problem you are having, there is one specifically for the pinging and knocking and there is another one for the misfire, lean fuel trim, and O2 sensor codes, but either way, if your local dealer does a PCM reflash it should be done to the latest software. I am not sure how it works in the States, but here I automatically check for TSB's with customer concerns and do the quick easy **** first rather than trying to change parts in hopes that it will fix the problem. Besides if its a software issue wtf good is throwing parts at it gonna do.
