Hello,

I have the possibility to buy a 4g93DOHC engine for my Galant.
The current engine is a 4g93SOHC.
Do I need to replace the wiring loom aswell or does it use the same type?

If I were you I'd go with the DOHC 4G63t, it's a 2.0l and have a stronger block to put boost on.

And also, they have more HP. i have a 4G64 that produces 147 hp. I'm selling that, if you want it. But I would go with the 4G63t. They go for around 1500 on ebay, that's for a JDM one though.

The JDM 4G63t does not bolt in to the USDM 1999-current Galants.  It will however fit the 1994-1998 7th Generation Galants.

You need to use the 4G63t from the Lancer Evolution 5+.  Preferably just buy a engine out of a EVO8/9 because they'll be the most readily availible in the States.

The 4G64 block from a 8G Galant is also a very good block to use.  IMO I would go with a 4G64 block and use a 4G63t DOHC head....

That or just put a turbo on a 4g64 with low boost (and as you know Prophet) many have done that with great results, and MUCH lower cost investment than a 4g63t headswap or engine swap.
