yep! me the same. It works very well when I downshift for passing and when going up a hill

For me, Mitsubishi's shifting system is a blast!
The ECU will downshift the transmission completely in Maual Mode so that
you don't "lug the engine" and cause any damages.
All you have to worry about is the upshifting and leave the downshifting to the ECU.

The paddle shifters are great for the "twisties" when you need both hands on the steering wheel.
(Proper positioning as taught in "tactical driving" schools.)
I think we have the platform for a really awesome "Crossover Utility Vehicle".

With the AWD, you don't have to worry about any torque related traction problems
and can practically dust any other vehicle in it's class because of the great traction and stiff unibody.
All we'd need is the Ralliart suspension and better tires,
maybe the Bridgestone 235/55x18 VR's.
