I drive a Dodge Avenger with a full 95 Eclipse GSX swap.  Some of my mods are in my sig.

Trust me, I wanted that motor and drivetrain in my Avenger for the longest time, but didn't know how to get a hold of the front and rear clips.
The 8G VR4 was never in the US imported or exported but the the 6G was.
The idea was scrapped for the 4g63 it's AWD system though for feasibility reasons.

I didn't know how to find the parts back then, not only that, but it's hard to trust someone who can't speak english enough to understand them.  Now, that I know more about the internet and where to get parts.  I no longer have that issue, but I also no longer want that motor for my Avenger
To top it off, the 8G engine bay is longer than the Avenger's...and look how stuffy it is in that bay.
The 4g63 has a ton of room in my Avenger compared to the GS-T that I worked on this past Monday.
I put in a MAFPRO and I scraped quite a few knuckles under his engine bay.  I scrape in mine too, but far less than in an Eclipse, lol.

Thanks for everyone time on this matter i ahve also heard about a FTO's 6A12 mivec. if i could find one of these engines in the us. would that be a beter plausable swap and yes i have the 4g64. I also have in a junk yard near me a 04 rsx type-s motor with about 3k into the motor with the back end completely wrecked on it but the motor still cranks and works fine. I just want a sleeper because everyone around my city is into muscle cars and i want a little import to dust everyone around here. because no one has even thought about the import scene except for acouple of people buying neons and civics.

If you are wanting to do a motor swap then use a 4G63t from a EVO IV to VIIII.  If you want to use that JDM motor then you will need to find a FTO tranny or convert the 8G USDM into AWD.

Do not post other sites in here.

What was the wrong info?
The motors?  He should know by now that he's got a 4g64 as previously stated.  He does not care about the 3.0 6g72 that came in the Galants/Eclipses/Stratus.  He wanted to swap in a 3kgt 6g72 in place of his 4g64....follow me so far?  What was wrong with what was previously stated?

The 6a12tt and 6a13tt from the Galant VR4 is not a simple swap to the USDM 1999-2003 Mitsubishi Galant.  They have different chassis, suspension, electronics.  For all intensive purposes its a different car.  As for what engines the Galants came with?  Prophet is right.

1999-2003 had the 4G64, a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine.  It also had the 6G72 a 3.0L V6, both normally aspirated, both SOHC.  The 4G63 was never used in this generation.  However as was mentioned you are best off using a 4G63t from the EVO5+.  Several of our members have done this swap, its much easier, and MUCH more cost effective than using (let alone finding) a decent 6a13tt.

Which btw, the 6a13tt is used in the 8th Generation Galant VR4, and the 6a12tt was used in the 7th Generation Galant VR4.  As for the mivec engine from the FTO?  Your still better off using the EVO's turbo 4G63.  The 3kgt version of the 6g72 is mounted 180 degrees different from the Galants 6g72.  So even swapping from the 3gkt to a V6 Galant is a chore and pointless.

The 4G69 was not used in a Galant until 2004 with the 9th generation.
