I have 2000 Eclipse Gt with a manual tranny. For about a month now I've been hearing a knocking noise coming out of my transmission. I thought at first it was my throwout bearing because everytime I push in the clutch it goes away until I let it out again. But the throwout bearing looks fine so I'm really hoping that somethings not broken in the transmission, but most likely thats the case. Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? I'm open to any help you can give
Thanks

More than 85% sure that its the clutch mitsubishi seems to make all of their critical parts out of candy so they break easaly mine whent the third month i got it so replaced the clutch and fly wheel. Go to tearstone.com they have some pretty decent stuff.

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (daily driver) some mods only AEM V2 , headers, and evo II catback, not much plans because of the EXTREME cost to make the 3g fast.

i would prob. say its not the trans. most likely clutch fork and thrust bearing alignment. check to make sure they are installed properly (fork slid over on bearing straight) and not chipped, bent or cracked) also check the slave to see if it is not bending on the clutch fork when u push the pedal. just my.02

First of all.  Dont waste any time or money.. It is the Throw out bearing.. I know for a fact.  Had it on both of my 3Gs.  It goes away with  the clutch in.  no problems with it just annoying. Im sure if you searched reall hard you would have found that because I have done quite a list of problems and issues with the 3G eclipse and I constanly post them just so buyers know whats up.. nothing major at all just small annoying things like this
