lol. no problem hun. I know everyone situation is diffrent, and you have to adress it as follows.
As i can read, you particular problem far exceeds just going out and buying a new car, but as i said earlier, your a smart girl, and you'll figure it out.

Have you looked into fixing the damage? around how much would that be?

Gus

Why are you asking a question if you dont want people honest opinions. So let me get this straight then...your driving a car that does not have functioning tail lights?? That is not safe at all. So you think that hazards will make up for the fact that you dont have any brake lights....dumb.

Dont drive the car. And if you got a loan to buy the eclipse then i think its pretty simple you need to sell what you have left and get a new car (with a new loan...cuz obviously you could pay the first loan)...or fix this one by getting a loan. Those are your only options. Driving this car should not be one of them. So i agree with josh.

Im not trying to be an ass, im just saying think first and dont ask if you dont want a straight answer

LOL you didnt quite say it like josh.

From what i understand her mom refuses to co sign anything. So getting a loan is out. The car does actually have brake lights... so that works.

Better idea?

Like I said Engineer, I've looked into every option possible. If I'd been able to get a loan.. I would have gotten one already. I'm eighteen years old, no credit and no co-signer. It's gotten me absolutely no where. Which is why I'm relying mainly on my job so that I can save a way to get something else. I can't start selling parts out of this one without another means for transportation. Driving the car is an absolute last resort. Again.. I don't drive it at night unless I absolutely have to, which is when I'm coming home from work or class. That's it.

Gus.. to fix the damage would be over four thousand dollars, and most of the people I've gone to won't even touch the thing. So if I did keep it.. it would have to be a personal project.

how do you have brake lights but not rear tails??? Im lost . I think you really just need to find a cheap daily driver to get around in that you can afford. I am driving a $500 saturn right now. You just find a nice deal on something for now...anything. It sounds like that car is a total loss. So just try and get rid of any attachment you have to it . Then find something cheap and scrap the eclipse

That's what I'm trying to figure out! I've got brake lights, headlights, everything but the damn tail lights! And honestly that's what I'm doing.. just looking around for something in my price range. At this point I'm so fed up with a car.. I really don't think I'd be bothered if the thing got driven off a particularly high cliff. =]

Lol. It's around 1,000. Give or take. Hopefully within the first month of this new job it should be a much higher limit.
