Help anyone i have a wierd problem with my 1988 lancer 1.5L 4 cylinder automatic.  its got the carburretted 4G15 engine.  I thought it had a blown head gasket, when i looked to check i found something wired.  When i took the air filter off it was full of oil.  There is no water in the oil or oil in the water.  Car was running very rough and smoking like anything.  Felt as if running on 2 cylinders.  Had not used any oil.  I thought it may have been the pcv valve but unsure at this moment.  any help as to what else it could be would be appreciated.  i donmt want to spend alot of money on it as it is an oldish car, so my father (ex-mechanic) and i will do the work ourselves.  Cheers
