Dose Any body know what the spring rate is for the 98 Eclipse GST Spyder. I am looking at a pair of Megan Racing Springs and they have a rate of- 335 front & 250 rear. I wanted to know if they would work for my car because I have had a hard time finding a set that works for the spyder. http://www.dsmparts.com/customer/product.php?productid=719&cat=104 thanks for any help you can give

Stock rates for AWD are ~246-265 front and ~150-162 rears. The Spyders were real close in weight to the AWD so most folks referrence the AWD when in doubt, actually that's when folks can't find the Spyder info, lol. Those rates that you have there are fine..a little soft IMO, but fine for DD. Oh yeah, one thing I would suggest is to save some money for a camber kit for the front and rear. A 2" drop on a DSM may cause some or more negative camber. That will also result in poor toe configuration. In other words get your alignment done and be prepared to get camber kits for your car, if you don't already have them, as the suspension does not allow more than stock spec to be aligned.

is there a good chamber kit that you would recomend. and how much dose it apoximatly cost?

Something like these work good. Springtech, Ingalls, SPC from ebay are fine, but don't get "ebay" camber kits. You can also get camber kits from shops like DSM shops. I've had SPCs in the front of my car for a couple of years and they worked great. You'll just have to figure out how much of an adjustment you'll need before you buy a kit. They have some that are +/- 1.5 and +/- 3 camber adjustments. You'll just have to look around. There's a DIY for the rears but I don't like that folks use small diameter washers to push the rear arms out. If you want to do the DIY, use large diameter washers, but not too big or they won't fit. The DIY washers look like these.. ...so, use larger diameter washers to be on the safe side.
