Think this may have been the cause of me getting 10-15mpg? lol That black **** is thick, too, you can't even fully tell how bad it is from the picture.

Haha, look at the resin that fell off of it when you put it down.

I wonder what the sensor inside that housing looks.  I wonder if you can even see it anymore, lol.

What sensor? Thats just a bunch of exhaust particles holding hands.

Azazel -> RE: Haha... don't think it's supposed to look like this (8/25/2007 8:34:28 AM)

haha...yeah, I'm gonna send that into Guinness.

That is what happens when some dumbass puts an intake hose with two openings on a car and only covers one with an air filter, then drives it for god knows how long.

Sebba -> RE: Haha... don't think it's supposed to look like this (8/25/2007 8:36:14 AM)

LOL thats not what causes it

Azazel -> RE: Haha... don't think it's supposed to look like this (8/25/2007 1:13:08 PM)

Oh? I thought all the unfiltered air my car had been sucking in was what had caused the sensor to go bad? Either way, I reset the ECU after putting in the new sensor and so far my mileage does seem to be a lot better, I haven't driven a lot so I'll find out more tonight. I'm expecting my mileage to nearly double, because I was only getting 200-225 miles to a tank.
