I have a panasonic aftermarket CD player and I still have my clock display, AND my temp gauge/compass. I had Best Buy install mine and if you hit the rear defroster you lose reception on some stations while listening to the radio. he he.

Thats because your antenna is part of your rear glass.
Ive got a Carozzeria double din in mine, and all my little clock pod options work... allbeit incorrectly, but they work...
