Need some input/help PLEASE!  97 Spyder 2.4 Non Turbo.......I recently had the transmission rebuilt and the gears are changing fine however when i press the gas to the floor the rpms rev up to about 4000 or 5000 rpms and stays there as if it had a rev limiter/governor and when i let off the gas it changes gears...so i have to play with the gas as if it were an automatic standard tranny.   Now I have a full audio system with two amps (1000 watts and a 400 watt)....so I checked the batter with a volt meter and Im only reading 12 volts. My mechanic told me that he believes that being that the alternator is not putting out the 14 volts that all cars need that the transmission is not getting the power that it needs!  So im leaning towards getting a higher output alternator....has anyone experienced this problem or have any suggestions before i make the costly purchase for this alternator?  Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Get a power cap for your audio system. Maybe thats your problem... either that or its your TCM

You may need a new tranny computer..  You should always be up around 14 volts with the altenator, but the stock altenator should be pushing that with out any problem..  I would have the computer checked first..
