lol i can jus run over the hondas (note my sig)

I wouldn't say the montero is best for hauling...because of the short wheelbase. if you want a vehicle with towning power, you could probably buy a used truck from the GSA for the same amount you would invest in upgrades to your montero.

So we all know that the supercharged engines need the intake bypass valve so they work in reverse. Otherwise the supercharger would just suck all the air out of the cylinder

no problem, you're Monty will do that just fine...you just have to watch your speed because of your short wheelbase. I wouldn't go dragging a durango all over town because I'll bet it actually weighs more than the monty....but your concerns should be your transmission, not your engine.

check with your mom, I don't know what model year she has but there was a recall on early 2000 models for problems with the ball joints. She might never have heard about this.
I think the montys that one the Dakkar were non-turbo, you'd have to look into that one....but I'd check it out and see what mods they made.
Montys rule.

that's a shame. I love dodge but they have definitely made some huge engineering mistakes in the past.
...and the guy who sold it to her was an a*hole. I hope you left some nice monty sized divots in his yard.
