i think my brakes are finally going...when i go slow i hear a metal on metal grinding/screeching sound from my right rear or both.....so...should i stick to stock rotors and calipers? or go aftermarket?

stick with stock. Repkacing the calipers is expenside and you should only need rotors and pads

I asked my trusty mechanic about drilled/slotted rotors in an effort to keep them cool in Mtn driving...his opinin was that they were only a marginal improvement, and that they rusted quickly, with all that surface area and all our road salt...

I'd go with these--no more warping, no more brake dust.
