my friend has a 96 eclipse rs the head blew. got a new head for it and now it wont start. it turns over and cranks but wont start his dad checked the signal to cam sensor and its good the coil is recieving signal but not sending signal tried to check signal to crank sensor but cant figure it out cuz its in a hard spot to get to. they arent sure if its that sensor that is bad or the pcm. his dad said its getting fuel too. anyone have any suggestions to what else it may be? need to figure it out quick cuz my friend is goin into the national guard soon and he wants it running before he goes. any info would be great thanks!

its most likely your timing is not correct. Fix that and you should be good. Just check the timing marks

Well that would mean a perfect piston-valve collision.

well then its not that cuz it doesnt make any knocking sounds what so ever....he thinks the pcm might be bad....i also read the post on the asd and told him to check that. he's read the entire hanes manuel cover to cover and hasnt been able to figure it out. this has been like a 3 month problem and is getting very frustrating!

You wouldnt really hear anything. Trust me. If the timing is reversed... THATS it.

Is it reversed or not?

sebba they wont have collided already from trying to start the car. All he should need to do is fix the timing and then it will start right up
