...has any one located in southern california had the throttle hestation "fixed " ? due to work demands is have almost no free time to go to a dealership that may not know what to do... thanks in advance for any help.

I don't live in Cali, but I had my Outie re-flashed this week and it took an hour with an oil change too. It makes a big difference in driveability and I'm still watching the fuel mileage. The dealer "should" know how to take care of this problem, just tell them you have the hesitation and drieability issue and they will do the TSB on it (the post on it is here http://www.mitsubishiforum.com/m_167936/tm.htm ).
