EVO cam gears on a DSM?

So included in these boxes of parts were new adjustable cam gears. They fit on the motor but they say "EVO" by the center of them.  The guy had an EVO and chances are he got the parts mixed up.  Will these work for my car since it is the same motor? Or am I gonna need to get new ones? I can get pictures of them later on when my mom comes home with the camera

I dont think they will work since the evo's 4g63 is backwards to the eclipse, but i could be wrong.

right i know it's backwards, but its camgears, that should be the same, no?

I think it would be different, since to install the gears you would have to litterally flip it around.  Im not completely sure though, we will probably have to see what the other guys say.

Yes you can use the cam gears from the evo. As an example if you look at HKS they have the adjustable gears and the part # is the same for both eclipses and Evo's

haha thats exactly what i was wondering.  And thanks, i assumed the would work but i wasnt sure if they might be to big or something? eh, worth the question, and thanks for the answer

I was going by a post i read in the past when someone asked the exact same question, and they were told you cant use the evo cams in the 4g63a.

bestwiseguy there is a big difference between "Cams" and "Cam Gears". Yes the cams wont fit from an evo to an eclipse. BUT the cam gears will
