My wife drives my 2001 Montero Sport to work everyday and today she was told the brake lights wasnt working, I checked the fuses and the bulbs but they are good, Also shortly after she was told about the brake lights the two month old battery went completely dead and the engine wouldnt stay running after it was jumped off. All of the other lights work fine. Can anyone help me out. Thanks in advance.

Didnt get any help on this one but for anyone that should care the brake light switch behind the brake pedal went out, The problem with the engine cutting off is still a mystery, The battery has stayed charged but the engine still acts like it wants to cut off sometime, guess I will have to visit the garage.

check your fuel injectors....dirty injectors means sputtering and shuuting off....also it could be a bad MAF,clogged anything or just a sensor problem along with the MAF

So we all know that the supercharged engines need the intake bypass valve so they work in reverse. Otherwise the supercharger would just suck all the air out of the cylinder
