I know this probably is the wrong forum for this question but i realli need this question explainly answer is sum1 could....I live in downtown montgomery, alabama and i am a big fan of the 2nd Generation eclipses as are many other people here....but they make their carz for more show then anythin, but im not lookin to make a show car, i wanna get an eclipse for speed, in my area GS-Ts n especially GSXs come very rarely so usually very expensive, i dont have a very large budget maybe 4 or 5gs at the moment but more to come very soon, n i was wondering if i baught a Eclipse GS 5-speed about 97 or 98 could i fix it to be able to beat a GS-T or maybe even a GSX? there happn to be a few people inparticuler that i wanna beat so if somone could help me out here i'd realli appreciate it....

if u want to beat even a stock gst/x with a gs you're gonna have to turbo it or hope theyre a terrible driver. hahn sells a turbo kit for that car but i believe its around $3000

Remember one thing: Shift points. They arent the same on a manual as an automatic. I KNOW this is the wrong forum for this, but I once got a civic to shift outa fourth @ 138mph. Automatic shifts @ 119. Big difference, so...keep that in mind. Driving is just as important as the parts you put in.

having a gs turned turbo or even beast on n/a would be nice. in my area there are alot of imprezas and evos and a handfull of gsx/gst to see a gs out there doing some damage would be real cool. i say go for it thoguh it might be little on the $$$ side.

Well, yea, I would put my money on a sleeper. Especially around where I am. All these fools are racing around in rusted little wind-up HONDAS. Even stock would kick the livin sh!t outa those, man.
