Sirius Canada Question - 10/23/2007 2:54:28 PM

Just picked up my 08 Outlander XLS(Canadian).  Sirius is now a factory option.  The dealer knows very little about it as my car along with the rest in the shipment are the first to have Sirius.  All they know is that it has a 6 month demo.  There is no paperwork supplied and the manual just tells you how to change channels.

My question is, I have limited channels(maybe 1/3) of what are listed on siriuscanada.ca.  Is this because I need to activate/subscribe and its just in a demo mode?  If I'll get almost 200 channels I will definitely activate it, if I don't, I don't think I'll bother as the selection now is pretty crappy.

Thanks in advance.

Did you have limited channels before activation?

I dont know much about the boundaries of satellite services, but for me in the states, I dont think had any channels opperable when I bought it. It might of had weather, but that isnt what I was tring to listen to. My dealer gave me a sirius brochure that had the 6 month demo activation code. Once I called and did that, about 20 min and I had all the channels.

I called in today, gave my ID and VIN and told them I'm supposed to get 6 months free.... and they gave me all the channels that I was missing. Effen eh.  Not sure why I only had 1/3 before...
