ok the story....
i bought my 95eclipse in april. the guy before me put in a JVC headunit. i was going to replace it. i took it out and i noticed that he did a "custom wire job". he snipped off the harnest........
now my friend (also not to bright) sniped it again..... so now i have wires everywhere, no headunit.
where do i begin fixing this

go to best buy, circuit city, hh gregg, etc and pick up a 95+  Mitsubishi harness, and a reverse harness that will fit it. Wire in the reverse harness to what's been mutilated, the other to the wiring that comes with your new radio. Wire colors on the reverse harness should be as follows:

Yellow             12v Constant
Red                 12v Accessory
Black               Ground (my harness did not have a ground, so if this is the case, you can go to any of the metal braces behind the dash. Just make sure it's securley fastened and that there is no paint, just bare metal.)
White                Front Left (+)
Whte/Black       Front Left (-)
Grey                 Front Right (+)
Grey/Blcak       Front Right (-)
Green               Rear Left (+)
Green/Black      Rear Left (-)
Purple              Rear Right (+)
Purple/Black     Rear Right (-)
Blue/White       12v Acc Amp turn on
Orange & Illumination wires are Orange and Orange/White, but unless you've got a deck with a built in night time dimmer, you won't need these.

take a meter to it, check your constant and accessory lines. if it's not those, a speaker lead is grounding out. easiest solution is to run new wires.
