ORIGINAL: thejones10 I have an 04 Endeavor that has noisy valves for quite a while after start during the cold months here in southern Ontario. It has had the work done for the service bulliten regarding the noisy valves. I was considering putting synthetic oil in for the winter months in hopes that it would help with the cold starts and possibly eliminate the noisy valves. Agree or Disagree with me, please let me know since this is not a cheap oil change to do for no reason. Our 2005 has had noisy lifters/valves for quite a while. One lifter must of bled out a while back and it took a good 5 minutes till the thing quite'd down. Could you explain the service bulliten for noisy valves. I brought it right to the dealers attention and they recommended 10w30 The motor now has 66000 runs fine but sounds like 266,000.
