From the day i got my 07 eclipse se i kinda suspected that their would be no dash kits for this car, but I went to tweeter and best buy and both locations told me the only way i could do anything to my dash is with a custom built dash kit. I'm interrested in getting 1 of those in dash touch screen dvd players but I was also told that even if I got a custom built kit the only type i could get would be the flip screen which im not too hot about. Does anyone have any information on whether theirs a kit for this car in the works or on the horrizon?

You can get double DIN dash kit for the 2006-2008 Eclipse. I think it comes with a storage box for the bottom DIN tray if you just need the top DIN tray. I got one off Ebay for my 2008 GT and haven't opened it up yet. Haven't decided if I want to improve the Fostgate system or just replace the stock subwoofer. My 2000 Eclipse had a Sony head with XM radio box and a nice subwoofer in the rear...sure do miss the sound...at least the old Sony head gave info on the Sat Radio channel name and the first 8 characters of the artist, song, etc. I didn't buy the car for the stereo, but kinda lame IMHO.

I would be interested also. I'm curious what would you do with the LCD display on top of the dash? The compass and temperature gauge would be nice to keep but is that part of the radio system?? Humm I think someone needs to post their experiance here damn it!
