Mine are made by lund and dont have the bolts and brackets. They fit really snug in the channel and then tape in. THey dont move at all.

Pardon my ignorance but I've never had one of these installed on any my cars before... so, does this really help? I dont understand what these visors really do?

Can somebody please explain?

TIA

The visors let you open a little bit of window when it is snowing or raining. It is really useful because you want a little air into the car, and dont want any rain/snow or even a lot of wind noises to come in. Works well on windows and sunroof window as well

If its raining you can put your window down maybe 2 inches or an inch and no water will come in. It cuts down on wind noise too.

I went after market because they sit in channel. They dont have tape that sticks to the outside of your door. You fit them inside the fram of the door and between the rubber seal and pull the plastic off the tape and it sticks right inside that channel. I dont know the affects of vent visors that just tape to the outside of the door when taken off so I wasnt chancing it.
