I have a 420a motor, and I want to make it as peppy as I can. At the moment the motor is just coming out of the car. Now what can I do to give it as much umph as I can? I'm new to the tuner scene and I'm sure this is a frequanty asked question. Sorry. The car currantly has a full greddy exhaust manifold back and a cold air intake.

Are you tearing it down or what?  You could look for cams,  high compression pistons and do head work.  You could also go torwards the forced induction route too.

Yes I am going to completely tear it down and rebuild it back up. Sorry for my ignorance but how to you do forced air induction?? Any suggestions as to cams and pistons to use?? How hard is it to throw in a six bolt main??

forced air induction = turbo , and unless you're plannin on puttin a ton of money into a slow car to turn it into a still slow car, then i would advise against it.... build up that 4g63 block you have, buy a gst or gsx and drop it in there

o and a 6bolt is in reference to a 4g63 motor, which will not fit in ur engine bay

So is it possible to put a 4g63 into a GS?? I am pretty good at fab work which I've heard that it will need. What kind of things would need fabed?

Basically everything.  The engine bay for the rs/gs is actually smaller than the gst or gsx.  So What is normally already a tight fit will become much, much worse LOL.  It would actually be cheaper to sell your current car and buy a gst/gsx, and then drop in the 6 bolt motor.

It can fit if you count being able to cut a few things but it is possible. If you know the right people and can do the work yourself.

why would you even say that? the engine bay is a solid 4 inches smaller in the gs! the work and cost of such a project well exceeds the cost of a gst or gsx, and is much more worth it to just buy one of the latter
