JStrateger -> 96 eclipse gst 18in rim problem (11/28/2007 12:25:28 PM)

I want to put 18 inch rims on my 96 Eclipse but there is a bar comming from my hub to my A-Arm that is stopping them from fitting from with tires, The bar is attached to the hub. what can I do to put these on?

Smaller tires.....But 18's should fit unless there huge tires, or the offset is way off.

The red bar is your problem?....those wheels should fit....is it really hittin that bar or rubbing it?...

I've got 18's on my '99 GS-T and they fit just fine. My tires are 215/35/18 and nothing rubs. What size tires are you running? Also what size wheels? Mine are 18x8.0 I think.

I got 215/35/19 tires and  19 x7.5,  + 42mm rims and nothing rubs.

ive got 235/40/18 with no problems except rough rim ride

how are you running 235's on an Eclipse??

JStrateger -> RE: 96 eclipse gst 18in rim problem (11/29/2007 6:31:06 PM)

The tires were already pretty small, I was going to buy the set with tires from someone for 150.00. I think I'll pass and get some 17". I've seen people with 19" fit on an eclipse, I just don't see how.

_Adrian_ -> RE: 96 eclipse gst 18in rim problem (12/1/2007 9:33:47 PM)

im runnin 245/40zr18...
no rubbing :)
its all about the right offset.
nothing that new studs and a spacer wont fix
