i would like to know you guys i got a hard shift when i pull of and when it is cold or just out of the blue like going up a hill my rpm like goes to about 2,000 from 4,000 when up a hill i be on the gas but it like drops out of the blue so what is happing here

Clutch is slipping. How many miles are on the car? (Me thinks close to 100k?)

Wow man you took good care of the car huh? Thats a long time for a clutch to last. So, dont be pissed that you have to change it. Time for a clutch change : )

Also, when you change the clutch you have to either replace the flywheel or get it resurfaced. In your case, resurfacing it will be just fine.

I recomend searching around for quotes on this. Never go for the first.

His car is an automatic not stick.

Check the trans fluid and see if it smells burnt.  Mind you the fluid should smell clean and the color should be red.  The clutches in the trans might be burning up.

yeah i got that change and the oli smells good now but it is slow going a way but for a AT tanny can i get a newer 1 like racing style or something

like now it is slow going a way is that a good sign because i wanted a 5 speed auto tanny if they do make them
