New member and new Diamante owner here (new to me anyway - 2001 LS).
My car has headlights that are supposed to shut off automatically when the car is turned off and the driver's door is opened, but it's not working. I've read the owner's manual and followed the steps to re-enable the feature, but no luck. It wouldn't be a big deal, but since it has the auto-off feature, it also has no headlights on chime (and my wife has already drained the battery once ).
Anybody have any tips on how to re-enable the auto lights thingamagig?

Another question: The previous owner left almost every oil change receipt in the glove box. It looks like he put 10W-30 dino oil in it even though the owner's manual calls for 5W-30. I put 5W-30 Mobil 1 in my CRV and was planning on doing the same in the Diamante. However, I bought the CRV new so other than the break-in oil, it has always had 5W-30 Mobil 1 in it. Is there any reason I shouldn't switch from 10W-30 dino to 5W-30 synthetic in a car with 50,000 miles on it?

5w-30 is better w/ mini s.u.v.'s ( i use the same grade to my outlander) anyway, 10-30 will work fine (esp. syntethic) its lighter for your 50,000 mi.
