I'm having a problem with the alarm system on my 98 Montero Sport. The LED light on the left side of the steering wheel has broke. The light and a piece of metal fell out the other day. Now the keyless entry and alarm does not work. And when other people use their remotes to lock their car it sets off the alarm on mine. I have two questions. First, can I replace this light myself? And where can I get a replacement? 2nd question, This alarm when working seems to have a mind of its own. Is there a way to remove the alarm system and still use the keyless entry? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. This alarm is driving me crazy.
