The two main problems or issues that you can have with internal wastegates is the boost creep and also not holding the boost as well (or power as well) as an external wastegate. It just will have alot more steady boost

I did the 34mm internal wastegate upgrade for my Evo III (ported) that I just installed at I run 15-16psi and have NO noticable boost creep, it holds it steady too. I was actually quite impressed with how steady it is. If you plan on running over 20 all the time then it is no issue for the stock 32mm. It is a crap load cheaper than an external too.
