It tells you something when the Boston audience erupts into applause
when the huge toad/monster thing kills one of the protagonists and boos
at the closing credits. Often films like this have redeeming, awesome
special effects, but with the whole film done in the hand-held camera
style, it's hard to tell if the special effects are good or if they
just cover them up with lots of "realism" camera shake. The best part
of this "film" was that it was short.

As my friend said, it's like Real World meets Blair Witch, with a monster and some typical alienesque clichés, though it's never clear that the creature is an alien. Nothing is clear.
