From 1st to 3rd, who needs 2nd? - 1/22/2008 9:49:47 PM    RonP   Posts: 36 Score: 0 Joined: 12/30/2007 Status: offline I've had my '08 GT 6-speed for a couple of weeks now and what I've come to realize is that the 2nd gear in this tranny is a waste. The car shifts / performs better going from 1st to 3rd and skipping 2nd. Second gear is an odd one, it's like once I shift into it I have to shift right back out due to the higher rpms it jumps up to so fast. So now, I don't even bother. I run 1st gear to about 3500rpm and then right into 3rd. Post #: 1
