Personally i dont think that it would be a good idea, in the end it would be more trouble then it's worth. why dont you do what i did any buy something blown and destroyed and go NUTS on it. I bought a Eagle talon ESi, good tranny. Automatic though, with a blown motor, and it needs body work. that way i can do a little of everything when i get bored. IM rebuilding, remodeling and tranny swapping.. great fun i tell you... haha wait, no its not!.. SOMEdays man lol..

haha. i did.... i got a 95gs. hade a bent valve, slipped clutch, needs body work, headliner falling, seats ripped, etc. i rebuilt the motor n tranny. doing body soon. and interior after that


i guess i shouldnt get over my head.

with the 4g63 motor for the eclipse, u can get the crank, pistons, arms, etc. from a galant and throw them into your eclipse block, and BAM... instant 2.3, no boring needed, cuz the galant motor has a longer stroke, so its a cheap stroker kit for your eclipse, just need to have someone reprogram your computer to compensate and probly have your cylinders honed since part of the cylinder hasnt been used by the original stroke, and probly has some buildup on it....
