Hi, My friend has a 2000 eclipse gt that needs a new wheel bearing on the front passenger side. I looked at the auto parts store and found that you have to buy the whole bearing/hub assembly for around $130. Is this right or is there a way just to buy the bearing without the assembly? Thanks...

You have to buy the bearing/ hub assembly together.  It's not entirely fun to switch out the assembly either.  I might be able to sell you one for $100 + shipping if your friend is interested. Let me check if I still have it though.

Yeah, I was having wheel bearing problems too.  I had to replace the whole assembly to fix the problem.  It's all a closed unit...they gotta make money some how, right?
