I have a '99 GS-T and the tweeters are 3 1/2 inch...I replaced them when I did the whole system in my ride with a set of Earthquakes with crossovers...They're hooked up to my Earthquake 4 channel amp and those bastards scream!

I had my system done by a professional and I dumped about $5000 into it but I was there to see some of the install and I do believe he tore the dash apart and went up underneath it.

Just take a flat head screwdriver and pop them out.

Yea man lol any speaker will work with aftermarket units long as you got it hooked up properly. Im not running that Pos factory radio in mine. But i did notice something when i had the speakers out today... Its got the mitsu emblem stamped on the back of the tweeters in my talon. Haha...

Question 4 Shreff99. U stated your 3 1/2's were hooked up to an amp. are you running 2 amps?
1 amp for the tweeters, 6 1/2 and 6X9's? Do you have a sub in the trunk? I want to run my highs and mids threw an amp but i dont want it to loud, as my son is only 18months old and sits right beside 1 of the 6X9's. Just want something crisp and clear. how much wattage amp should i use 4 my mids and highs?

Steve, I have two amps...One is an Earthquake 4 channel running my tweeters which have crossovers, 6x9's, and my 6 1/2 mids in my doors...I also have the Earthquake DHC 200 digital amp running my 2 Earthquake Magma 12's....here's what my whole system consists of:

Stereo System:  2 Earthquake Magma 12 inch subs, 6 1/2 inch Earthquake mids in the doors, 3 1/2 inch tweeters w/crossovers in the dash, Earthquake 6x9's in rear,  Pioneer 6600 head unit with screen savers, Earthquake DHC 200 digital amp for subs, Earthquake 4 channel amp for highs, Audio Control line driver in console, American Eagle capacitor, Stinger dry cell battery in trunk, Stinger fans to cool amps, Pro Power 210 amp alternator, Stinger alternator relay under the hood, all Stinger wiring and RCA's, custom vented and ported enclosure made from 3/4 inch MDF.

You can see it a little bit if you look at my pic in my photo gallery.

So what would you reccomend for that clean crisp tone on the tweeters, 6 1/2 and 6X9's? How many watts should i push through it?
