Injen i believe is fine for a stock system. I think as you look for more power it will become someone of a restriction just because of the design. Emonz actually has it on his 400+ evo and i think he was gonna be changing them out for something better. But for a stock turbo and boost they wont be a problem

they are not bad BUT I would go with ETS pipeing kits if I could start all over again because they look alot better and routed better

Is a hard pipe kit that much better or should one just get a whole FMIC kit? more like is it worth it to get a hard pipe kit.

depends on your mods.   IMO the pipeong it is more for looks than anything.   But there is also no need for a FMIC if your on the stock turbo in most cases.   that asside with a piping kit you can alway use a different FMIC at a later time it takes very little to make them fit from the stocker IC to a aftermarket one.   For example I was running the injen on my stock IC and now I have all these mods and a new FMIC and still running the injen up pipe

ETS
Buschur racing
AMS

all of those will be just as good or better than HKS and cheaper in most cases.
