Alright I think my car has boost creep but not quite sure. Its a 97 gst with a big 16g on it. And it boosts fine until I hit 6000 rpms then the boost will go from 14 up to 20 within a second. As for my awesome exhaust system thank to the previous owner, which consists of the 02 housing bolted onto the turbo, and the downpipe is welded to the o2 housing but due to the sh** wleds its cracked. The exhaust is custom 3 inch piping with a universal cat and a nexus muffler. This is why I believe its creep, please tell me if im dead on or way off

This is boost creep. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zrf1FgXQxs0

You see the boost reaching the desired setting, and continue rising. This is because your wastegate is too small.

Apparently it jumps up.. not creeps. So that to me means the wastegate isnt opening

yeah it seems to be creeping up there, could that be due to my ghetto fab exhaust?

No... it has to do with not removing the excess exhaust gas quick enough. You need a bigger wastegate.

oh i read if you keep running 20 psi and more constantly it'll wear out,got it ha
and yeah i took the rod off the actuator side like TE told me to, and drive it like that, took longer to boost but still boosted fine and bogged around 6k rpm's
