I have a friend that just traded his car for a modded 1990 Eclipse gs-t. It has 550cc injectors, walbro 255lph, and I believe, a stock ECU.

Anyhow, when he goes to about 5000rph the car starts to stutter and try to die. I told him it was most likely his injectors drowning out the spark and should replace them with smaller ones.

Also the car is near impossible to start when cold, I'm not to sure about this one. His plugs might need to be changed. Is this a common problem with DSMs?

Any ideas guys?

Thanks,
Joe.

What turbo setup does he have and has the car ever been tuned after the mods were put on?

The turbo setup looks stock to me but I wouldn't know if it was tuned or not. The guy he got it from said it got it from someone else and didn't have contact with him anymore.

The car hasn't been tuned to my knowledge, there are some computers in the golve compartment but I haven't checked them out to see what they are. One looks like it controls the fuel-air mixture but throws an "open pump" error, I'll have to take another look at it.

Heres the car domain with a list of mods:

I would check to see what kind of fuel pressure your running at, I saw he had a ajustable fuel pressure regulator as a mod.
