so i got my 97 gst turbo a few days ago from the auction, i just got it fixed, and i found out when i tried to redline at 7k rpm, a chip or something restricts it to 3k rpm...and in fifth, since its restriceted to 3k, i could only do 60!!!! aahhh, im mad.   so how do i take it off, do i just go to a mechanic or could i just do it myself, if i can plz tell me how.

i have yet to replace the thermostat and the oil, cuz they are both bad, and  i took a look at what my boost gauge was connected to, and the clear tubing that i guess mesured the lbs of boost, is cut! and it sounds like my boost gauge is leaking, so i need a new one of those.
