i have a 97 dohc 2.0 n/a manual. while driving i step on the gas to speed up and it takes about a second to really move. and it makes some weired noise like if im engine breaking but i hapens when im doin like 60 and attempt to pass someone, it will studder for a second. wat could it be? i have recentely had the injectors cleaned. maybe fuel filter?

Maybe you should try a lower gear.Don't be in 5th at 30mph uknow.0 its an RS right? Not much power. if your running higher rpm it should pick uop better

Also add an intake! It really help with the power in lower rpm.s not as much studdering

Try changing your sparkplugs and wires.

i do have an short ram intake and i had a tune up last month. but like how you said being in 5th at 30mph is more or less how it sounds but only wen i try to pass someone.

so your car feels like it has no power even in lower gears.  does it just feel bogged down or is it jerking any.

it does feel like it lost some power. it does feel bogged down. if i down shift and hit a high rpm then i can floor it like usual but if im driving regular it feels like it hasnt got anything. I was thinking it might have been the gas i put but its the usual. regular.

my toyota paseo had the same symptoms... but i looked at the dipstick... and viola... no oil.... put in oil and back came the power
