no worries

rang a local dealership

big service every 54k miles

this includes timing belt change
new spark plugs
oils and filters etc
4hr service

just shy of £600

i just drove from texas to New York. The 2000 galant has 81,000 miles. We just put on another 1600 this weekend.

Performed a minor tuneup which consisted of changing the following:

oil / filter
transmission fluid
spark plugs
checked tire pressure (tires are relatively new)
wiper blades

The car drove like new again. felt really great.

To be done in the near future:
shocks/struts
timing belt
accessory belt

Are there any other maintenance items to change?
pcV valve?
Gas Filter? (connected to the gas tank)

I just recently drove my 98' Mitsubishi Galant from southern GA to central wisconsin. The tempature recently dropped down to negitive 20 degrees, i originally thought possible frozen fuel lines, but gas is getting to engine. The battery is keeping charge and the engine is turning over but i just want to figure why the engine isn't starting up. All electrical seems to work fine. Would the timing belt give me the same type of trouble?
